Frequently Asked Questions

Great question! Wedding coordinators are the ones who know and execute your vision for your dream wedding. Both leading up to and on your wedding day. They keep track of all the details of your wedding and make sure you, the bride, can enjoy your wedding day, knowing a person you trust has everything under control. And will handle any situations that may not go exactly as planned, so that you don't have to know!

A wedding planner is involved from day one of your engagement. They will help to source vendors, venues, helping choose and stick to a budget, creating floorplans, choosing decor, helping with hotel reservations and transportation...etc. Typically a wedding planner is much more expensive to hire than a coordinator.
A wedding coordinator focuses more on the final logistics of the wedding. Making sure that the plans made throughout the planning process are executed on your wedding day, filling in any gaps and confirming details with vendors. A wedding coordinator makes sure the plans you and your fiancé have made are executed to perfection on your big day!

Yes absolutely! As your wedding coordinator, we are fully dedicated to YOU and YOUR day! The venue manager or coordinator is in charge of managing the venue property, not executing the vision for your wedding. They will help put out tiny fires that may come up during the day, but their primary responsibility is to make sure the venue is managed and taken care of. A wedding coordinator's responsibility is you, as the couple. They will help with the rehearsal, decor, and signage, and they will make sure the day follows the timeline you have set.

Compile a list of all your vendors and their contact information. See page 8 on the checklist below.
Make an official wedding day timeline. We will walk through this together to make sure everything is accounted for, then I will send it to all your vendors. See page 5 on the checklist below.
A monthly check-in. At least once a month I will schedule a meeting with you, in person or virtually, to make sure we are on track with the planning process. This is a time for us to both ask questions and make sure all the details are covered.
Attend your final venue walkthrough. If I am in your area, I will join your final walkthrough to make sure the timeline we have finalized and the space for the vendors is nailed down.
Run your rehearsal. If you are having a rehearsal (which I recommend!), I will be there to direct your rehearsal and give instructions to the bridal party, officiant, and any others involved in the actual ceremony (ushers, ring bearers, flower girls, grandparents... etc.)
Handle all things wedding day. Think of me as the director and stage manager of your wedding day. I will arrive about three hours before your wedding ceremony starts and will work until you and your guests have exited and the clean-up has finished.
If asked, offer advice. Feel free to run by me any ideas or ask my opinion during any part of the wedding planning process. I have been to a few weddings...I've seen many different things done; some good, some bad. I am always happy to provide perspective if you are wondering if a certain wedding trend will work in your wedding.
